Bishopsgate hires Sam Galbraith as head of P&C for Ireland

Bishopsgate Insurance Brokers has appointed Sam Galbraith as head of property and casualty for the Republic of Ireland.

Sam will oversee the launch and growth of a wholesale property and casualty business for Ireland in conjunction with Ardonagh Specialty Europe with placement into carriers including Lloyd’s and the London Market, building upon Bishopsgate’s presence in the UK, Northern Ireland, and the US.

Sam brings 13 years’ experience as a Lloyd’s broker to the role. He was previously senior account executive at Optis and subsequently Citynet Insurance Brokers where he was a major producer of UK and Irish wholesale business for six years. Prior to Citynet Sam worked as an account executive at Howden.
